Our Time On Houzz – Awards

Creative Woodwork is proud to announce that we have won the Best Design and Service award on the connective, inspirational and showcasing platform for interiors and home design, Houzz. For the seventh consecutive year! To be selected and recognised for all our hard work and the high standards that we set as a bespoke furniture and cabinet making company is a wonderful achievement.

So What Is Houzz?

Houzz was founded in 2009 in California by Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen. The story behind the birth of the company unfolds that one evening the couple were discussing the idea of redecorating and refurbishing their own home, they began researching in the usual way before the creation of this fantastic platform, by flicking through interior magazines, tearing out photographs and highlighting bits and pieces of inspiration as they went along. But they soon realised they must be an easier way, a way of making an idea book, a collection, a contractors list whilst at the same time getting in contact with the relevant designers they wanted for the project. So the idea of an online platform whereby all of this shared information could be made easily available for the client was born, Houzz. As word got out in the Bay Area of California that there was a place for consumers and design professionals to meet online, connect and showcase their work, Houzz then, in a short space of time, established as a company in the autumn of 2010. Since then, it has grown into a global enterprise, expanding into Europe, Asia and Australia, only four years after its launch. It is now the most widely used website and app for interior or house renovations, however big or small the job may be.

About The Award

As stated by Houzz, “This exclusive award recognises just three percent of the more than 2.5 million active home professionals and interior and architectural photographers on the Houzz platform, and is awarded annually in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography.” This year we have won two out of the three awards handed out, for Best Customer Service and Best Design!
